From Uji to Singapore

Heritage Matcha, Reimagined for Everyday Rituals

Marukyu-Koyamaen has crafted Japan’s finest matcha in the legendary tea gardens of Uji, Kyoto since 1704. Our matcha has long been served in traditional tea schools, temples, and luxury hotels across Japan.

With this digital-first launch, we bring that heritage to Singapore—offering ceremonial-grade matcha, premium daily blends, and complete starter kits that make the ancient ritual accessible to Gen Z and Millennial lifestyles.

What makes our matcha different?

• Stone-milled to preserve vibrant jade colour and deep umami
• Sourced directly from Uji for freshness and consistency
• Clear quality ladder: ceremonial, premium daily, and kit bundles
• Educational approach that turns “try once” buyers into daily ritual fans

How to Prepare

The Matcha Ritual, Made Approachable

We keep the spirit of the Japanese tea ceremony, but explain it in simple steps so anyone can recreate it at home—no prior experience needed.

  • 1. Sift – 1–2 scoops of matcha through a fine sifter to remove clumps.
  • 2. Add water – 60–70 ml at 70–80 °C, never boiling.
  • 3. Whisk – with a bamboo chasen in fast “W” motions until fine foam appears.
  • 4. Enjoy – sip slowly, focusing on colour, aroma and umami finish.

Each starter kit and product page links back to this ritual, closing the loop between education and purchase—exactly what we proposed in our digital strategy.
